A founder dinner is a small, curated dinner where founders talk honestly about what they are building. Not a mixer and not a pitch night: a table with a handful of seats, where every person runs something real and the conversation is the whole agenda.

The format exists because founders get plenty of rooms and very few tables. Conferences and meetups are built for volume. A dinner is built for one conversation that actually goes somewhere.

How an Invite-Only Dinner Club Works

An invite-only founder dinner is curated on purpose. Seats move by referral: someone who has been seated sends someone worth seating. That is not gatekeeping for its own sake — it is how the table stays honest. When everyone at dinner was vouched for, nobody performs.

A dinner club repeats. One good dinner is a nice evening; the same format held on a fixed rhythm builds a community of founders who know each other well enough to be useful.

The Outwork Format

Outwork keeps the format strict: six founders, one table, every third Tuesday, in a private room. No pitching, no name tags, no sponsors. Dinner ends when the conversation does.

Six is deliberate. Eight splits into side conversations; four runs out of range. Six keeps one conversation going with enough perspectives around it that someone at the table has already faced whatever you are carrying.

How do I get invited to a founder dinner?

Scale and intent. A networking event is a room you work; a dinner is a table you sit at. Names are known in advance, one conversation runs the evening, and introductions happen afterward, one at a time, with a reason.
